Glorious Day in Governor Andres Pascual College
March is a month that holds a special place in many Filipino families. It marks the end of the school year and for many students, the end of the road in their academic journey. The month of March is associated with graduation and this event is a milestone in the lives of many young people and their families. Yesterday was a warm afternoon and that was the moment which 3 of my cousins graduated in Governor Andres Pascual College in Navotas. They were quite happy and comfortable with because yesterday was the day they had been working so hard towards for what seemed like a lifetime. All the hard work had been done and it had paid off. Mary Anne Ablola and Chiqui Sanchez graduated their Masters degree in Education and Emelita Flores graduated in Bachelor of Education. I witness their entire uphill struggle toward this achievement and me myself is so proud of them. I manage to take some photos of their Glorious Day in Governor Andres Pascual College and I’m sharing to you my 3 lovely cousins who might be your sons and daughters’ future mentors in primary education.
Fishermen’s Club
This is a typical day for a Navoteño (Residence of Navotas) fishermen after they went on fishing, excited to see their family and bring home the bread. It’s like a gentle mans club or a brotherhood of fishermen. See how they are all enthusiastic and consider this job as a profession. life maybe miserable but for these people, work hard is more important in living rather than make it easier (Old Filipino Men Principle of Mano-Mano, the tough it is the better the way community look at them). Maybe they’re not interested of the the Economic Recession, maybe they are not familiar with Con-ass, or maybe they don’t give a damn in the continuous progress of the technology. But this people have one goal, to live a good life and serve us with the fish we used to have in our dishes.
Julie Tear Jerky
I watched Eraserheads final set recently before i took this photo, the spirit of 90′s Eheads music is still fresh on me. One of my favorite song is Julie Tear Jerky and i must say i yelled when i heard the intro of that song that was so soft and very melodramatic.. I confess, i cried.. maybe beacuse that’s the last time i’ll hear Eraserheads singing my favorite song together.
No happiness, no loveliness,No emptiness, I wasn’t here before, I hear her calling my name
Those were the few Lines from Eraserheads song “Julie Tear Jerky” that’s the first thing that’s pops out on my mind when i saw my friend doing some “Yosi” stuff in the “kubeta” (comfort room). i grab my camera and click her.. voila!!!
Beggar of the Feast
last night in Tomas Morato a poor homeless woman catches my attention. i took her a photo and gave her a token of appreciation… though she never give a damn… it was a blue berry cheese cake. I am actually craving for that but instead i gave it to her… just wondering did the beggar of the feast ate it or just let it be spoiled?
Modern Fishing

This man doesn’t look like fishing… as matter of fact, he is! electricity used to paralyze the fish. whats next for the modern fishing?
